How can I socialize and calm a nervous anxious aggressive dog?

I'm rather shocked at the biting and dog aggression. A responsible shelter would have tested her temperament before allowing her to be adopted. She seems beyond the help of the average owner and I think you should consider returning her or hiring an animal behaviorist.
