Waxed my mustache and Im a guy.?

Okay well I did it because I hate how I look with facial hair, all my friends have a beard and stuff and they look cool and make me wanna grow mine, but mine doesnt look good on me, alot of guys can pull off the scruffy look but im not one of them, I hate mustache the most on me, so I decided to wax to prevent it from growing to fast, but its been a day and i see tiny hairs in some areas, what can I do so Ill never have a mustache? If i keep waxing will it work?
