Advice with a girl who may or may not be creeped out? Any advice is appreciated..?

theres this girl in my grade in my HS that i really really like ALOT. shes about as popular as popular can be and im about as unpopular as anyone can get.. however she recently told me that we should talk more so i kind of have been getting my hopes up (i really shouldnt though) ive tryed talking to her in person but i cant because A) shes always around her friends and im a total wimp. B) whenever im near her i feel like throwing up.. and C) our school year just ended so i wont see her for like 3 months... i wanted to talk to her in person because im sick of wimping out and talking to girls i like over facebook or somthing like that.. she also recently has been dumped by her boyfriend and is naturally feeling pretty down. since i cant talk to her in person i just wimped out and shot her a faebook message.. it basically said that even though we arnt really friends i still cared about her and i was here for her if she ever needed to talk to someone. its been a few days and she hasnt responnded to the message and she wont respond when i talk to her on chat... im pretty sure i just chased her away... i have her cell number that i got from a friend so im tempted to text her but im pretty sure that getting a text from me would just creep her out more.. im probably just worrying too much.... but i dont know.. i like her alot.. so.. advice wanted................
